RECONDITIONED ENGINES

We offer reconditioned engines for most models. The DJ-5G is no longer available. See Conversion Kits for suggestions on this model. For all other models we recondition engines to order. Each engine is test driven to insure that it runs smooth and has good oil pressure. Then we do a compression test on each cylinder. If we are satisfied the engine is removed and the head is completely rebuilt. The block is inspected for wear and cleaned. New gaskets and seals are installed. New timing sets are installed as well. The engine is reassembled and road tested once again. Finally they are removed and shipped. We remove only the carburetor. All other parts are left on the engine for our customer's convenience. This results in savings of hundreds of dollars in labor and free parts. The engines are warranted for 30 days. This warranty covers the engine only. Labor and freight are not included. The parts left on the engine are guaranteed to work when installed but are not warranted. The price for reconditioned engines is $1,250 plus crating and shipping.
